Kathy Manning Releases Second General Election Ad: “Blessings”

Greensboro, N.C.— Business and community leader Kathy Manning released her second television ad of the General Election titled “Blessings.” This 30-second ad highlights Kathy’s personal connection to the outrageous cost of prescription drugs and fight for affordable health care, including for those with pre-existing conditions.

Like many North Carolinians, the fight for affordable health personal for Kathy and her family. When Kathy’s youngest daughter was diagnosed with a chronic illness, Kathy fought to get medication approved by the insurance company so her daughter could lead a healthy adult life. She knows the challenges that Americans with pre-existing conditions face and she’s committed to fighting for quality, affordable health care, lower prescription drug prices, and protections for Americans with pre-existing conditions.

Nearly half of all North Carolinians in the 13th Congressional District are living with a pre-existing condition and they’re paying too much for the medications they need to stay healthy. That’s why it’s appalling that Washington politicians like Congressman Ted Budd continue to side with insurance companies and his special interest corporate campaign donors over North Carolina families,” said Kathy Manning. “After taking thousands of dollars in campaign cash, Congressman Budd voted to gut protections for people with pre-existing conditions and raise health insurance premiums on North Carolina families. I’m proud of this ad because it highlights my personal frustration with Washington politicians like Congressman Budd letting big drug companies write the rules while North Carolina families pay the price.”
